Donations and COVID-19 Safety

5th January 2021

Thank you to all of our supporters for your wonderful support of Renfrewshire Foodbank over the last year. Since lockdown in March 2020 we have received just under 106 tonnes of items.  This incredible generosity has allowed us to continue to provide food and essential items to those in our community struggling during these difficult times.

As you will be aware, we now find ourselves up against a new strain of COVID-19 which is even more unpredictable than the first and more easily transferred between people.  The government is so concerned we are once again in strict lockdown.  For this reason we feel we should be reducing contacts as much as possible to protect you our donors, our staff and volunteers and those who need our help, and would like to stop taking donations of items for the next few weeks (to be reviewed at the end of January).  We will concentrate our efforts on making sure those who need our help, receive the food and essential items they need.

If anyone wishes to donate meantime, a cash donation directly into our bank account can be made, specifying what it has to be spent on, for example, food, toiletries, pet food or just our general fund.  Our bank details are:

Sort code: 83-46-00 Account number: 11350487 Account name: Renfrewshire Foodbank.

We will keep a close eye on the COVID-19 situation and let you know when we open up again to receive donations of items.

Thank you so much for all of your help.  Please keep safe during this uncertain time.
