“People Are at Breaking Point” – Our Managers Speak to The Gazette

Our senior manager Crystal Clayton and assistant manager Holly Irvine spoke to The Gazette about the reality we’re facing in Renfrewshire right now.

Crystal shared, “A few years ago, it used to be about people maximising their incomes but people can’t budget money which is no longer available to them. With the rates of inflation, wages, and basic benefits, the numbers don’t match up for a lot of people to stretch their income far enough for the month.”

Last year, we fed over 10,500 people across Renfrewshire. We’re now distributing up to 150 food parcels every single week. Crystal put it plainly: people are “at breaking point.”
