Renfrewshire Foodbank Warehouse Coordinator (20 hours/week)

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Renfrewshire

 

Renfrewshire Foodbank – feeding local people in crisis.

As one of Scotland’s largest foodbanks, we are committed to providing emergency food relief to families and individuals in Renfrewshire, who are experiencing financial hardship. In 2020 Renfrewshire Foodbank fed just under 10,000 families and individuals, thanks to the generosity of the local community and the energy and commitment of our volunteers.

The charity’s Trustees are now seeking to recruit a Warehouse Coordinator.  This is an outstanding opportunity to make a direct contribution to the fight against hunger in Renfrewshire.

As Warehouse Coordinator you will lead a team of volunteers to ensure that the warehouse(s) for Renfrewshire foodbank are run efficiently, coordinating effective stock control and arranging timely transportation of collections and deliveries, ensuring that the agreed operating model is followed and meeting legislative standards – i.e. Health & Safety/Environmental Health.

To succeed in this pivotal role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, first-class planning and organisational skills and the ability to deliver tangible results.

Renfrewshire Foodbank is run in partnership with local churches.  The Warehouse Coordinator should agree and support the values of the organisation.
